Spacey Jane releases hometown-filmed live video for Hardlight

The Fremantle-based band released the music video ahead of its upcoming 2023 10-date regional tour of Australia.

Spacey Jane has released a live music video for its fan and media favourite single Hardlight, which came in at #3 on the 2023 Triple J Hottest 100. The live video was taken during a sold-out hometown show at RAC Arena in Perth in 2022.

The video accompanies the audio version of the song, which featured on the deluxe edition of the band's ARIA #1 Album, Here Comes Everybody, released via AWAL.

Sombre blue lights set the tone as the band appears on stage in front of the packed crowd. The band used beautiful harmonies in the chorus as the crowd sang along to every word.

Caleb Harper's voice shone through with grit and poise as the band performed the song in front of a screen which showcased nostalgic home videos. The use of point-of-view camera shots from the crowd helped to show how it would feel to be at the show very effectively.

Additionally, the close-ups on each band members' face showcased the intense emotions they felt while performing the song, which they did in a powerful way through their stage presence.

Their stage presence was shown even greater through the wide shots, as the band was seen performing on stage with their energy, which the crowd was seen to be matching.

The crowd got their phones out as the song reached the bridge, as everyone prepared for the final chorus.

The crowd erupted in applause as the song ended and the lights turned off; Spacey Jane showcased all its rock and rock style with the performance really effectively through its stage presence, musical ability and crowd enjoyment.

The hometown crowd embraced the band as they put on a show for their home fans.
