The West Coast Fever have started the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season in dominant fashion, winning both matches by an average margin of 18 points.
Although the Fever believe that their best netball is yet to come with the team having not yet put out a full 60 minute performance.
Vice Captain Jess Anstiss spoke to the media during the week and sent a warning to the rest of the competition.
"I think that's probably a positive that we've taken from the last two games, in particular, is that we did have that fade out in the fourth quarter and first game and then last week," Anstiss said.
"It wasn't our greatest performance and yet knowing that we still have another level to go to and once we put a performance together for that 60 minutes without the ebbs and flows I think we'll be formidable."
Putting out a 60 minute performance will be something that the Fever will focus on in their clash against the Firebirds this afternoon.
"I think both the first two games we haven't actually put out a 60 minute performance, which in a way is quite good that we've still managed to come away with such dominant wins.
"So I think that's definitely the focus for this game against Firebirds is making sure that we put out a performance for all four quarters and in particular, the first five minutes of each quarter last weekend weren't very good at all.
"So yeah, being able to have those strong starts in particular and then being able to finish out the game with finish it off in the fourth quarter."

The Fever come up against the Firebirds whose attack end is quite similar to the Fever, having that tall target under the post in Donnell Wallam.
"Firebirds are that team that we always come up against and they're very similar to how we play in that they have that tall target down in the shooting end, and then defensively, they're very similar to us as well.
"So I think it'd be focused on us this week is their shooting circle in Gretel Bueta and Nelly [Donnell Wallam] their combination is formidable.
"So we'll definitely be trying to work as a midcourt out the front to slow it down as much as we can to give Corto [Courtney Bruce] the best opportunity back there.
"Similarly in the attack, just making sure that we're working at circle edge and making the most of all our opportunities."
The Fever will have two games in three days with the side coming up against the undefeated Melbourne Vixens at John Cain Arena on Tuesday night.
Anstiss says that the past two seasons put the Fever in good stead for those tight turnarounds.
"Luckily the last two years and have we've been playing condensed games.
"So we're pretty well set up we'll just use our experience from those last couple of years and know that we don't necessarily have to train like crazy in between.
"So then we're able to be nice and fresh backing up the games and also having that depth in our squad so that we can go to the bench throughout games and then we've got some fresh legs as well in both matches."
