The Adelaide Crows Football Club is partnering with the new South Australian Labor government to give away free tickets to workers that have kept the country alive over the last two years.
Public sector nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, human service workers and teachers will all have the chance to grab complimentary tickets for the Crows' Round Seven clash at the Adelaide Oval.
For the frontline workers that are continuing to work on the day of the game, they will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets for a later match at half price.
The initiative is a great way to pay back some of what the world owes these workers who risked not only their sanity but their lives every day to get the economy and the world going.
“The pandemic has created many and wide-ranging challenges for the football industry and the broader public,” Adelaide Crows CEO Tim Silvers said.
“Nurses, doctors, paramedics, police officers, human services workers and teachers are among those who have given incredible service to our community and no doubt made many personal sacrifices along the way.
“Like many people, we consider ourselves the beneficiaries of their hard work and commitment. Offering them tickets to the footy and the chance to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of a Crows home game is the least we could do.”

This isn't just an Adelaide Crows initiative though, South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas has made this happen by underwriting the costs; costs that are completely worth it to reward these workers that have sacrificed so much over the last few years.
“All South Australians have been impacted by the pandemic and have had to adjust to new ways of living and working but no one has felt this strain more than those who have worked on the frontline of South Australia’s Covid response,” Premier Malinauskas said.
“Our doctors, nurses, paramedics, policy officers, teachers and human services workers are frontline heroes of this pandemic, for the personal sacrifices they make in keeping all of us safe and well.
“I thank the Adelaide Football Club for honouring South Australia’s frontline heroes of this pandemic.”
