Jakara Anthony closed out her incredible season with another podium, winning silver in the dual moguls event in Megeve, France. However, the big moment came for the Aussie when it was confirmed that she secured not one but two World Cup Crystal Globes for the 2021-22 season.
After an incredible season, the 23-year-old Australian won the dual moguls World Title having not missed a podium across the four events this season, coupled with an additional eight podiums in the singles, including an Olympic gold medal, helped her win the overall moguls Crystal Globe.
Anthony is now the second Australian woman to win the overall moguls World Title following Britt Cox whose stunning 2016-17 season saw her become the first.
In the final event of the season, Anthony won her second medal of the weekend, winning silver after an incredibly close final dual with France's Perrine Laffont that had the judges split 16-19 in Laffont's favour.
Her path to the final was smooth sailing scoring 20 points or more in her first three duals, out of a possible 35. In the Big Final, there was very little separating Laffont and Anthony, both having near-perfect performances on the moguls.
The Frenchwoman had a slight edge, however, getting down the hill 0.10 seconds faster than the Australian. But even then the judges could hardly split the pair, exclusively handing out twos and threes of the possible five points, with five of the seven judges favouring Laffont.

Anthony's silver in the dual moguls was her 12th podium of the season, now putting her two ahead of Alisa Camplin and Britt Cox who were equal first prior to this season for the best season by an Australian winter sports athlete with 10 podiums each.
However, the 23-year-old couldn't have done much better this season, only missing one podium for the year with a fifth place in Tremblant, Canada in the first competition back after the New Years' competition break.

“It’s an incredible way to finish off the season," Anthony said
“The crowd here were incredible, and to get to ski against Perrine one of the great female athletes in our sport was really special.
“This is my first time taking the big globe and this is the first time we have had a dual mogul globe, so to be able to take that out just really shows how consistent I have been able to be this season at a really high level.
“It wasn’t easy, the women’s field is so high this year and everyone is just really stepping up their game, so these feel extra special."
In the men's competition, Mikael Kingsbury won yet another dual moguls competition, sweeping the gold medals in the event for the season to receive the maximum World Cup ranking points with 400. Additionally, the Canadian swept the World Titles earning his second and third Crystal Globes for the season bringing his career total to 12 after winning the moguls singles title earlier this weekend.
